Hyrax and Sengis
Despite their name, elephant shrews are not shrews at all but sengis. Sengis and Hyraxes are Orders in their own right and belong to the same Superorder as elephants, manatees, dugongs, and aardvarks known as Afromammals. Indeed, the small hyrax is the closest extant relative to the elephant.
The photo of the four-toed sengis is poor quality, but they are only out at night, and Iām extremely lucky to have seen one at all, let alone get a photograph of it.
