Insects
This is a whole world (or, more accurately, Class) in a different Phllum from Chordates that comprise most of my photos. Doing great insect photography requires different techniques and is best done with equipment different from other photography, specifically a macro lens. Incredible images of insects can be astounding - because insects are astounding. Insects are something I want to shoot a lot more.
Like all wildlife, insects are in massive decline, which has implications for food chains and the health of our planet.
